It's important to learn about your coach, so I'll fill you in!
Where it all began..
I've been active my whole life. From neighborhood get togethers to organized school sports, I've always been a part of a team. I'm competitive by nature and love the dynamic. In college I played volleyball for a short period of time and hated it. Coming from a winning team in high school and becoming a part of this new organization that didn't hold the same high standards was un-motivating and ultimately was not worth the double sessions per day, on top of my school work. After making the decision to leave the team, I realized for the first time, since I was probably 3, I was free! Free from a team, from practices, from commitment to a schedule; I had time! This revelation lasted about two weeks before I quickly felt that I was lost. I didn't have a goal and for me that was not a good thing. Being inactive for about two weeks made me think that I needed to get moving and quick. What did I do? I got my first gym membership at Bally Total Fitness. After a few weeks of having a membership, I decided that I wanted to apply for a job there, selling memberships. The Sales Manager, Dawn, had interviewed me and realized in our meeting the potential that she felt I had to personal train rather than sell memberships. So, she called in the Fitness Director, Steve, who hired me that day! Long story short, Steve was a bodybuilder who ultimately introduced me to the world of fitness competitions! Thanks Steve!
Fast forward to now…
Since my Bally Total Fitness beginning, my passion for health, fitness, and wellness has led me to many amazing achievements. All of these great accomplishments have taught me that working hard to reach a goal is imperative, but living a healthy and balanced life is equally important mentally, physically, and emotionally.
